BridgeXpress© parapet track

BridgeXpress© is the principle of a monorail parapet track based on the concept of suspended scaffolding and falsework that can be moved and that complies with DIN EN 12811.

Application

The individual track (BX-MonoRail) is secured underneath the decking with the help of moving roller bearings. Depending on the bridge geometry, specific number of gondolas is mounted on the rail; these gondolas are then coupled with each other. This means that BridgeXpress© possesses a modular design and may be easily and rapidly moved with the help of BX Flexi-Rolls. Using the attached hydraulic cylinders (BX Hydro-Lift technology), the formwork is moved quickly to the concreting position and may be removed once the concrete has set.

Benefits
  • Rapid cycle times
  • Safe handling
  • Universal application
  • Unachieved versatility
  • Cost reduction

The four-phase process: Creating parapets with BridgeXpress©

Phase 1: Positioning
  • Securing BridgeXpress©
  • Extending the hydraulic cylinders and raising the structure
  • Anchoring with  threaded rods
  • Relieving the weight on the hydraulic cylinders
Phase 2: Concreting
  • Relieving the weight on the stabilising wheels by folding out the pressure props
  • Preparing for concreting
(Creating the formwork, reinforcement, built-in parts)
  • Concreting
Phase 3: Striking the formwork
  • Hydraulic lowering of the structure
  • Removal of the anchors (B15)
  • Folding away and releasing the pressure props
Phase 4: Moving
  • Moving the BridgeXpress© into the new concreting position, e.g. with cable and gripping hoist
Mounting trolley, front carriage
  • Installing the fastening elements to the defined BX anchors (Kobold® B15)
  • Rail installation
Mounting trolley, rear carriage
  • Removal of the rail and its fastening elements
  • Proper closing of the anchoring openings
