Monolithic construction is technically and economically not feasible. As a result of individual building sections so-called construction joints arise which are always the result of where a concrete section ends and another section is later added. With these construction joints, reinforcement generally runs right across the load transmission. Active or passive systems are used for the water barriers against pressurised water. With constructive products such as bulkhead forms with and without coating to the innovative systems such as injection channels and swelling bands, BETOMAX® has the subject of “impermeable construction joints” well under control.
