The SDF 25/2 self-sealing water barrier is a simple and reliable jointing strip for construction joints. It is a water barrier coated with FUMAX type C, which swells when exposed to water.

Its swelling properties are based on the specially developed technology of FUMAX type C polymers. On contact with water, the FUMAX type C polymer increases in volumne without changing its homogeneous structure. The resulting contact pressure achieved by the FUMAX type C swelling strip ensures a tight surface seal and prevents water permeation. The jointing strip is coated all round with FUMAX type C and ensures a simple and reliable connection between the individual elements and all intersections.

Installation notes:
Place the SDF 25/2 self-sealing water barrier on the top reinforcement underneath the construction joint and secure with one fixing stirrup every metre. Join individual elements by firmly pressing together the adhesive strips on the ends.

One side coated all round with FUMAX type C.

The fixing stirrup holds the two strips together where they overlap. The splayed ends are permanently fastened to the top reinforcement of the first concreting section.
